Job Description: As the Health Information Processing Clerk you will perform clerical duties relating to preparation, maintenance and storage of patient information in paper and electronic form. You will perform quantitative analysis and responds to verbal and written inquiries related to patient information in accordance with legislative statutes and established policies, procedures and guidelines. Along with your clerical duties you will also be responsible for:
Conducting quantitative analysis to ensure accuracy of patient records by methods such as searching, retrieving and matching to ensure presence of necessary information such as demographics, unit number, date of visit, required authentication, etc. Obtains missing information from computer system and/or prepares deficiency slips identifying the outstanding information for the physician(s) to complete.
Monitoring and maintaining an electronic tracking system for deficient patient charts by performing duties such as creating memos or correspondence to notify physicians of chart deficiencies and confirming that chart deficiencies are corrected by updating the electronic tracking system when deficiencies are completed by the physician(s).
Typing a variety of technical and non-technical material for Managers and Physicians such as memos, correspondence, medical reports from drafts, revisions or dictating machines. Takes minutes or notes at departmental or committee meetings; transcribes and distributes as required/directed.
Answering inquiries regarding patient information in accordance with legislative statutes, IHA and established policies, procedures and guidelines for Release of Information. Prepares invoices for Freedom of Information requests where necessary.
Performing other related duties as required.

Prepares assigned food items by following established menus, recipes and quantity quotas, determining ingredients and quantities required and assembling ingredients and equipment required for cooking.
Plans preparation and cooking schedule, to minimize time between completion of cooking and serving.
Cooks and seasons assigned food and therapeutic diet items such as, soups, sauces, salads, starches, meats and other protein menu items, vegetables and desserts by methods/procedures such as roasting, frying, grilling, steaming, poaching, boiling, baking, and bulk rethermalization; tests food items for palatability and temperature and adjusts accordingly.
Prepares, cooks and serves food items for special functions as designated.
Controls portioning of food items to ensure recipe yield meets assigned quantity quotas.
Maintains established food rotations in storage in order to minimize spoilage and waste.
Cleans cooking area and equipment, including pots and pans.
